PM Kakar advocates for changes in the criminal justice system

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar emphasized the need for reforms in the criminal justice system in order to hold criminals and terrorists accountable, citing the low conviction rate as evidence of insufficiencies in the system. He stressed the importance of effective legislation to address these shortcomings and reiterated the state’s responsibility to counter terrorism. PM Kakar also highlighted Pakistan’s stance on humanitarian assistance for Gaza and underscored the need to explore the country’s natural resources. He made these remarks while addressing the Petroleum Conference 2024.
