Pillion Riding Banned in Sindh: Enhanced Security Measures for Rabiul Awal 12

The Sindh government has implemented a ban on pillion riding in the province as part of the security arrangements for Rabiul Awal 12.

In an official notification issued by the home department, it has been stated that pillion riding will be prohibited in all cities on the 11th and 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal.

However, certain exceptions have been made. The ban does not apply to women, children below 12 years of age, senior citizens, law enforcement personnel in uniform, employees of essential services, and journalists who are able to provide their press card or service card.

Furthermore, the Sindh government has declared a public holiday on September 29th to commemorate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (12th Rabi ul Awwal).

This announcement was made by the cabinet division, stating that a nationwide public holiday has been sanctioned in observance of Eid Milad-un-Nabi.
