After the attack on the Pakistan Peoples Party’s election office in Lahore, the police have registered a case on the orders of the Election Commission.
According to the Election Commission spokesperson, the Chief Election Commissioner has taken notice of the attack on the Pakistan Peoples Party’s election office in Lahore and has ordered the inclusion of the FIR on the party’s complaint. In this regard, the IG Punjab has been issued directives.
Following the instructions of the Chief Election Commissioner, the Stockade police station has registered a case against 10 unknown individuals in the complaint filed by the son of the victim, Mansoor Abbas Khokhar. According to the complainant, the unidentified individuals attacked the office with petrol-filled bottles and set fire to the doors and banners of the office. The attackers also stole property worth 50,000 and a generator worth 1.5 million.
The police have stated that an investigation has been initiated by registering the case. It should be noted that the Pakistan Peoples Party candidate, Mansoor Abbas Khokhar’s office was attacked early yesterday morning.
