The Excise department in Karachi announced the arrest of two individuals in a raid on a secret drug laboratory in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area. The lab, also known as a clan lab, was discovered to be converting hashish into a liquid form suitable for use in electronic cigarettes. During the raid, two machines and multiple containers of the liquid were confiscated. Authorities revealed that the substance was being discreetly distributed in upscale areas, disguised as vape products.
In a separate incident, the Pakistan Coast Guards intercepted a boat off the coast of Jiwani and seized drugs with an estimated value of $20.86 million. The individuals on board managed to escape, leaving behind a large quantity of narcotics, including 833 kg of hashish and 42 kg of crystal meth, commonly referred to as ice.
