Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to shedding light on the unabated Indian atrocities in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK) at international platforms. In his message on the occasion of Kashmir Exploitation Day (Youm-e-Istehsal), he emphasized the deep-rooted emotional and ideological connection between the Kashmiri people and Pakistan, which is widely recognized by the world.
Bhutto Zardari condemned the unilateral and illegal actions of the Modi government on August 5, 2019, aimed at altering the special status of IIOJK. He emphasized that India’s last attempt to suppress the voices of the occupied region had failed, exposing its image globally. Across the globe, condemnation and protests against Indian oppression in IIOJK have taken place, signifying a triumph for the Kashmiri people.
The Foreign Minister appreciated the efforts of the Muslim Ummah, human rights organizations, and individuals worldwide who organized protests and events in solidarity with the Kashmiri people on Kashmir Exploitation Day.
He stated, “India cannot indefinitely subject occupied Kashmir to its oppressive and brutal regime.” Bhutto Zardari also highlighted that in the so-called “largest democracy in the world,” every government and political party has consistently supported and perpetrated atrocities and exploitation in IIOJK. However, despite these oppressive tactics, they have been unsuccessful in suppressing the people’s struggle for self-determination in Occupied Kashmir.
Bhutto Zardari also urged India to rectify its strategic error through its Supreme Court, presenting it with a last opportunity to do so.
He reminded that Quaid-i-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto were staunch advocates of Kashmir’s freedom, tirelessly voicing the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination at every international forum. The Pakistan Peoples Party, led by Bhutto Zardari, expresses unwavering solidarity with the Kashmiris and commits to providing continuous political, diplomatic, and moral support until they achieve freedom.
