Pakistan is set to appoint Saad Warriach as the new Chargé d’Affaires at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, replacing Aizaz Khan.

Simultaneously, India has named Ambassador Geetika Srivastava as the new Chargé d’Affaires for Pakistan.

Both countries have exchanged diplomatic visas for these new appointments.

In response to the latest ceasefire violation across the Line of Control (LoC) and the resulting death of a Pakistani civilian, Pakistan summoned India’s Chargé d’Affaires to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They condemned the action and registered a strong protest.

The Foreign Office spokesperson emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and tranquility at the LoC, stating that such acts are a clear violation of the 2003 Ceasefire Understanding.
