The International Cricket Council (ICC) denied him permission to wear a sticker with a black dove and the words 01:UDHR, citing their rules on messages related to politics, religion, or race. Despite the ban, Khawaja showed his frustration on Instagram and Cricket Australia’s chief executive supported his passion for human rights. Khawaja also spoke about how the Israel-Hamas conflict had affected him, expressing his emotional reaction to seeing innocent children suffering.
