In his address, the prime minister highlighted the devastating impact of the Israeli airstrikes on Palestine, emphasizing the high number of casualties, including many women and children. Pakistan has been vocal in its support for the Palestinian people and has taken steps to provide aid and evacuate the injured from Gaza. Meanwhile, the emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates also announced a ban on New Year’s Eve fireworks in solidarity with the people of Gaza.
Furthermore, the military’s top brass expressed full solidarity with the Palestinians and condemned the “serious human rights violations and war crimes” perpetrated by the Israeli military in Gaza. They reiterated the government’s stance of demanding an immediate ceasefire and a peaceful resolution to the crisis.
