Pakistan PM Kakar extends invitation to Saudi group for investment in alternative energy sector

The Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwarul Haq Kakar, has urged the Al-Jomaih Group of Saudi Arabia to invest in Pakistan’s alternative energy sector. In a meeting with the group’s head, Sheikh Abdulaziz Hammad, the prime minister emphasized the strong and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He also praised K-Electric’s investment in the alternative energy sector and expressed hope for improved infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted power supply. The Al-Jomaih Group delegation, in turn, thanked the prime minister for resolving longstanding issues and discussed their 1,500-megawatt projects. The meeting was attended by Federal Finance Minister Dr. Shamshad Akhtar, Minister for Energy Muhammad Ali, and other senior officials. Additionally, the prime minister expressed condolences over the death of former National Assembly Speaker Elahi Bux Soomro, acknowledging his significant contributions to Pakistan’s politics and parliament.
