Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch condemned the recent attack on hospitals and medical facilities in Gaza, calling it a war crime and a violation of international law. Pakistan joins the call for a thorough investigation into the incident and other attacks on medical facilities in Gaza, and urges accountability for the war crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Baloch emphasized the need for urgent intervention by the international community to stop the atrocities in Gaza and to secure an immediate ceasefire to protect civilians and infrastructure. The lack of fuel in Gaza, due to Israel’s refusal to allow entry of gasoline or diesel, has already caused a water distribution plant to go out of service, affecting 100,000 people in the enclave.

If Israel does not lift its fuel ban, humanitarian aid trucks will stop entering Gaza within 48 hours. Israeli Foreign Minister, Eli Cohen, while on an official visit to Geneva, criticized UN Secretary General Guterres and expressed his support for the release of hostages in Gaza.
