Islamabad: Pakistan is observing the ongoing progress in the Middle East with deep concern, but now there is a dire need to stabilize the situation and restore peace.
According to a spokesman for the Foreign Office, for several months, Pakistan has been emphasizing the need for international efforts to establish peace in the region and ceasefire in Gaza.
Pakistan had hinted at a serious escalation in the region when a missile attack on the Iranian Consulate in Damascus on April 2nd, and today’s halt in diplomatic efforts further signifies the breakdown.
