Haroon Rasheed, former Pakistan chief selector, has attracted attention with his remarks on the team’s bowling performance in the ongoing Test series against Australia.
Australia currently holds an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series against Pakistan. The hosts secured a 360-run victory in the opening game in Perth and clinched the series with a 79-run win in the Melbourne Test.
Rasheed expressed that pacers would feel the pressure if the team plays without specialist spinners in Test cricket, highlighting the benefit of having a spinner available for the team.
He also mentioned that the team’s management is solely focused on results and does not address the issues among the players.
Regarding Pakistan’s batting struggles in the series, he emphasized that the batters are facing difficulty on bouncy tracks.
Additionally, Rasheed praised Pakistan’s performance in Australia’s second innings, stating that the bowlers brought them close to victory.
