The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recently issued an official notification regarding a significant increase in LPG prices for the month of September. This price hike has raised concerns among households and businesses as it affects their budgets.

According to the latest details provided by OGRA, the rates of LPG have gone up by Rs 38.97 per kg. As a result, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder has been set at Rs 459.85. It should be noted that the rate for LPG cylinder in August was fixed at Rs 2,373.64.

This increase in LPG prices comes after the recent hike in petrol prices, which were raised by Rs 14.9 per litre by the caretaker government. The Finance Ministry issued a notification announcing this increase, bringing the price of petrol to Rs 305.36 per litre.

Moreover, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has also witnessed an increase of Rs 18.44 per litre, making it Rs 311.84 per litre.

In August, petrol prices were increased by Rs 17.50 per litre, reaching Rs 290.45, while high-speed diesel was raised to Rs 293.40. Prior to this, the federal government had raised the price of petrol by Rs 19.95 per litre on August 1.

These continuous hikes in fuel and LPG prices are affecting the common man’s daily expenses and adding to their financial burden.
