The Commissionerate for Afghan Refugees reported that around 203,639 Afghan nationals have returned to their home country from Pakistan. In the last 24 hours, 5,085 Afghan citizens returned to Afghanistan from the Torkham border crossing. The repatriation of illegal Afghans through the Chaman and Torkham borders has been ongoing, with the FC and the Afghan government agreeing to keep the Torkham border open until 11 PM to facilitate the process.

Following an apex committee meeting of the National Action Plan (NAP), the caretaker government has set a deadline of October 31 for all foreign nationals living illegally in the country to leave voluntarily or face deportation. Caretaker Minister for Interior Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has directed the authorities to devise a comprehensive strategy for the repatriation of foreigners residing illegally in Pakistan, vowing to tackle the issue and provide security to the returning individuals. He emphasized that maintaining law and order is the government’s top priority and that any miscreant activities by individuals or groups will not be tolerated.
