New Zealand secured their T20 series victory against Pakistan with two games remaining, thanks to a remarkable 137 off 62 balls by opener Finn Allen at University Oval in Dunedin on Wednesday. The Black Caps, batting first in the third game of the five-match series, posted a massive 224 for seven and limited Pakistan to 179 for seven, winning by 45 runs. This victory followed their previous wins by 46 and 21 runs. Allen, who had previously scored 74 off 21 balls in the second game, hit a record-breaking 16 sixes and five fours in his explosive innings. His 137 is the highest score by a New Zealander in a T20 international and equals the world record of 16 sixes in an innings. After the early dismissal of Devon Conway for seven, Allen and Tim Seifert put on 125 for the second wicket. Pakistan never looked close to their required run rate in their chase, despite a late cameo from Mohammad Nawaz. The remaining two matches are scheduled in Christchurch on Friday and Sunday.
