Morocco’s Romain Saiss, Azzedine Ounahi and Youssef En-Nesyri scored to lead the team to a 3-0 victory over Tanzania in their Africa Cup of Nations opener. Saiss scored the opening goal, followed by Ounahi and En-Nesyri. En-Nesyri’s celebration was initially cut short by an offside call, but a VAR check confirmed his goal. Morocco, ranked 13th in the world, dominated against Tanzania, ranked 108th. The convincing win solidified Morocco’s status as tournament favorites and marked a strong start to their campaign for a second Cup of Nations title.
