According to Express News, during his visit, Maulana Fazlur Rehman met with Afghan Interior Minister Khalifa Sarajuddin Haqqani, other Afghan officials, including Minister of Migrants Haji Khalilur Rehman. Sarajuddin Haqqani welcomed Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s visit to Afghanistan and discussed the internal situation in Afghanistan. Maulana Fazlur Rehman highlighted the role and efforts of both countries during the meeting.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said the fundamental purpose of our visit is to bring about internal and external strengthening between the two countries. If trade between both countries increases, there will be prosperity and peace. The Pakistani nation is ready for any possible cooperation with the people of Afghanistan. Khalifa Sarajuddin said they want better relations with Pakistan on internal matters. They want to move forward through negotiations and mutual cooperation on border issues between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
During the meeting, Minister of Migrants Khalilur Rehman Haqqani expressed deep concern over Pakistan’s unfair treatment of Afghan migrants and said that Pakistan’s unfair treatment towards Afghan migrants should end.
He said that the Afghan migrants should have given the government of Pakistan time for their return, to which Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that we had raised our voice against the unfair treatment of Afghan migrants by Pakistan.
