Egyptian television footage and a Palestinian hospital doctor have confirmed the evacuation of 28 premature babies from Gaza to Egypt for treatment. These babies were in a critical condition when they arrived at Al-Helal Al-Emirati Maternity Hospital in Rafah, according to Dr. Mohammad Salama. Medical staff at the Rafah border crossing were seen carefully transferring the babies from ambulances to mobile incubators before transporting them to Egypt. The babies, who were initially moved from al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City to Rafah, are now receiving treatment in Egypt, while three babies remain in Rafah for continued care. All the babies are fighting serious infections and require ongoing medical attention, according to a World Health Organization spokesperson.
