Security Forces Major Martyred in Miran Shah IBO: ISPR

According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Miran Shah area of North Waziristan district to target terrorists.

During the operation, Major Amir Aziz, who was leading from the front, intercepted and engaged a group of terrorists.

The brave and valiant effort led to the killing of one terrorist and the injury of another.

Unfortunately, two brave sons of the nation, Major Amir Aziz (29-year-old resident of Sargodha District) and Sepoy Muhammad Arif (27-year-old resident of Sahiwal District), martyred in the gun battle, fighting gallantly.

The security forces are currently conducting sanitization operations to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area.

The Armed Forces of Pakistan remain resolute in their determination to eradicate the menace of terrorism, and the sacrifices made by our soldiers only strengthen our resolve.

Earlier on the same day, Havildar Muntazir Shah, a soldier from Swabi District, was martyred during an exchange of fire with terrorists in the Tirah valley of the Khyber district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as per the ISPR statement.

The troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, resulting in the killing of one terrorist.

The eliminated terrorist had been actively involved in numerous attacks against security forces and the killing of innocent civilians, according to the military’s media wing.
