Kohli’s unbeaten 101 contributed to India’s total of 326-5, and their powerful attack led to South Africa being dismissed for a mere 83. Ravindra Jadeja was instrumental in the collapse, taking 5-33. With this victory, India secured the top spot in the pool phase. Kohli expressed his joy at scoring on his birthday, calling it a childhood dream. Tendulkar praised Kohli’s achievement and hoped he would surpass his own record soon.
