Karachi police are facing criticism for their failure to recover a 4-year-old girl who was allegedly abducted from M.A Jinnah Road in Karachi. The victim’s father, Muhammad Asghar, reported that his daughter, Ayesha, went missing during the August 14 celebrations at Sindh Governor House. Despite the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) at Soldier Bazar police station on August 16, the police have been unsuccessful in locating the missing child.

This incident adds to the growing concern over the safety of children in Karachi. Just last month, three minor girls were abducted from the premises of Soldier Board police station in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Karachi. The girls, named Noor, Ayesha, and Maheen, were luckily recovered later. A case was registered for their abduction under the applicable laws.

The inefficiency of the Karachi police in recovering the abducted children has raised serious questions about their ability to protect the city’s residents. It is crucial for law enforcement agencies to strengthen their efforts and prioritize the safety of children in Karachi.
