Karachi Police Arrests Drug and Gutka Supplier

The Karachi Police have successfully apprehended a group of individuals involved in drug and gutka smuggling activities. These arrests were made in separate incidents in different areas of the city.

The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Keamari reported that the suspects were engaged in various drug smuggling attempts, including inter-provincial transportation. Moreover, they were also responsible for supplying Gutka and Mawa to different locations in the city.

One of the accused, identified as Chakar Khan, was apprehended after bringing drugs from Quetta in a bus and reaching the Site Area. The police discovered 5,015 grams of hashish in his possession.

In another incident, a gutka supplier was detained on Hub River Road. The accused was caught red-handed while transporting gutka in a Rikshaw. Although two accomplices managed to escape, the police were able to recover 225 packets of Mawa and 20,250 packets of Indian Gutka from the arrested individual.

SSP Keamari confirmed that the arrests took place in Saeedabad and Site A areas. Cases have been registered against all the accused, and they are currently under investigation.

The Karachi Police are committed to maintaining law and order in the city and will continue their efforts to curb drug and gutka smuggling. These illegal activities not only pose a threat to public health but also contribute to the deterioration of the overall security situation in the region.
