Karachi: This morning in the city of Quaid, the weather department has announced the coldest temperatures of the current season with a possibility of light rain. According to the meteorological department, the intensity of the cold season has increased due to the north-easterly winds, and the temperature in the city is 14 degrees Celsius in the morning. The winds are blowing at a speed of 8 kilometers per hour.
The temperature during the day in Karachi may remain up to 26 degrees Celsius, and the winds will blow at a speed of 20 to 25 kilometers per hour. The meteorological department has said that in the coming days, the intensity of the cold will increase, and the western system of rain may enter Balochistan on January 4, which could affect some parts of Balochistan by January 5.
Under the current weather system, light to moderate rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall in the mountains are expected in Quetta, Chaman, Ziarat, and Qila Abdullah. In addition, rain is expected on January 4th and 5th in some coastal areas of Kalat, Seifullah, Loralai, Pishin, Mastung, Zhob, Qilaat, Musa Khel, Kharaan, Harnai, Sabi, Noshki, Kharan, and Makran.
In other areas, including the federal capital Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh, there will be severe fog, and the temperature during the day may drop by 3 to 5 degrees. Due to the severe fog, the affected areas may remain cold. Experts say that the display of foggy environments can cause health issues.
The meteorological department has advised citizens and travelers to be cautious.
