Justice Mazhar objected to the formation of a judicial council to hear references against him.

Islamabad: Supreme Court Judge Justice Mazhar Naqvi objected to the inclusion of Chief Justice Faiz Issa and two other judges in the judicial council hearing the references filed against him.

According to Express News, there are around ten complaints filed against Justice Mazhar Naqvi within the Supreme Judicial Council, and today Justice Mazhar Naqvi raised objections to the formation of the Supreme Judicial Council.

It is said that objections from Justice Mazhar Naqvi have been submitted in the Supreme Judicial Council, raising objections to the inclusion of Chief Justice Faiz Issa, Justice Sardar Tariq, and Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan in the council.

It is also reported that Justice Mazhar Naqvi has also asked the Supreme Judicial Council to agree to a change of venue and requested for the transfer of evidence, as well as submitting a written response to the Supreme Judicial Council, which consists of 18 pages.

Justice Mazhar Naqvi has taken the position that the notice issued by the Judicial Council in his case is a violation of fundamental rights, as the Supreme Court has ruled that the right to a fair trial is the right of the judge, and issuing the notice without my opinion affects my fundamental rights.
