Fawad Chaudhry has been given permission to participate in the elections from Jhelum, and the objections against his documents have been rejected. The Election Commission accepted the appeals of former Federal Minister of Information Fawad Chaudhry and allowed him to contest the elections from NA-60 and 61 constituencies in Jhelum. Judge Chaudhry Abdul Aziz rejected the objections of the returning officers of both constituencies and granted Fawad Chaudhry permission to contest the elections. Speaking to the media after appearing in the accountability court, Fawad Chaudhry said, “Which party should I contest elections from? I have to decide now. It is an issue to speak to the media, but we will definitely talk. When I left PTV, it was running at a loss of over 4 billion rupees. I left PTV with a profit of 3 billion rupees. My question is, is the media free now? The media had the most freedom during our time.”
