The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet has approved a technical supplementary grant of Rs10 billion for the Ministry of Information Technology (IT) for the Digital Information Infrastructure Initiative. This funding will be used to enhance technical capabilities for identifying and preventing cyber threats on national critical information infrastructure. The ECC meeting was chaired by Finance Minister Dr. Shamshad Akhtar and attended by other ministers from various departments. Several proposals and summaries regarding different ministries were also approved during the meeting.
