Islamabad hospitals on high alert due to increased vigilance

The Ministry of National Health Services Regulations and Coordination has issued a high alert from the 7th to the 9th of February. Rural health centers, community health centers, and basic health units under the administrative control of the District Health Office Islamabad are instructed to be on high alert during the 2024 elections. Federal hospitals have made arrangements for emergency situations and the leaves of doctors, nurses, and staff have been canceled. Attendance is mandatory for the staff of federal hospitals, and consultants, surgeons, and CMOs are directed to remain on-call.

The general elections are set to be held across the country on February 8. The Election Commission of Pakistan’s deadline for canvassing for the February 8 general elections has ended, with the Pakistan People’s Party topping the table for the most public gatherings. Now, political parties are preparing for the impending polling day on February 8.
