Turbat: People’s Party’s co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has said that Islamabad does not understand Balochistan as Pakistan, but for us, Balochistan comes first and the rest of the provinces come later.
Addressing a Workers Convention of the Pakistan People’s Party in the context of the election campaign in Turbat, Asif Zardari said that Pakistan does not understand Balochistan, Islamabad does not understand it, it does not understand Sindh, Punjab, and KP, I did not say to the Pashtuns “give me a name” but I knew what their wish was, giving them a name is not our shame, it is our pride, if it is a crime, we will spend more time in jail.
He said that it is the time of elections, everyone wants to come into power, but the desire to come into the power of the PPP is for the service of the people, we will pay off the debt of Bhutto and Benazir, we will build Pakistan and Balochistan, for us, Balochistan comes first and the rest of the provinces come later, which is why the young men and boys have been misguided here, I want them to come back, we will serve them, this second country cannot raise us, we will have to run ourselves independently.
He addressed the youth of Balochistan, “We will build universities and colleges in every district of Balochistan, we will build medical colleges and medical universities and hospitals, this work will be done with the strength of the people, if the people stand by me, I will take care of everyone.”
He further said that there are many resources in Balochistan, there is a lot of potential to move forward in it, there is a request from the people of Balochistan to come forward to save the country.
