Islamabad: Concerned Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar said that giving a response to Iran was actually a message for India.

In a private TV interview, the Prime Minister said that there was no option but to respond to Iran’s aggression, and staying silent while being attacked was not an option.

He said that responding to Iran’s aggression was necessary and there was no other option, with credit going to the military leadership, as the world was watching to see how Pakistan would react to Iranian action.

Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar said that giving a response to Iran was a message for India, and if there was something similar from India, they would respond. He explained that the attack by Iran was wrong, and if they understood it correctly, they would have stayed silent.

He said that there is no border dispute with Iran, and Iran admitted that the slain individuals were non-nationals, raising the question of what the non-nationals were doing in Iran.

The concerned Prime Minister said that the issue of the BLA would continue to be raised with Iran, and nothing was done on Iran’s part regarding these matters, while Pakistan is more affected by terrorism by Iran.

The Prime Minister said that every option will be used to protect Pakistani citizens.

Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar said, “On February 8th, general elections will be held and it is hoped that the elections will be transparent, with international media and institutions also monitoring it.”

He claimed that political parties are present on a level-playing field and are running their election campaigns according to their manifesto, and the Supreme Court’s decision regarding the intra-party elections is positive.

Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar said that the investigation into the incidents of May 9th has been carried out to a sufficient extent, and any mistakes should be acknowledged. He further said that there are no provisions for shutting down the internet, and the five-year existence in the constitution is not the government’s but the parliament’s.
