Unions representing Apple France stores have called for a strike ahead of the highly anticipated iPhone 15 launch, demanding better pay and improved working conditions.

The CGT Apple Retail union stated on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that they will go on strike on September 22 and 23 after management ignored their “perfectly legitimate demands and concerns”. They have also called for a demonstration near the Paris Opera Garnier, located close to one of Apple’s flagship stores in Paris.

Karine Chouchane, a member of the CGT Apple Retail union, mentioned that workers in approximately three-quarters of Apple stores in France may join the mobilization.

As of now, Apple France has not commented on the situation.

Last week, Apple faced a setback when the French government suspended sales of iPhone 12 models due to alleged breaches of radiation exposure limits. However, on Friday, Apple made a pledge to resolve the radiation level dispute by updating the software on iPhone 12 devices sold in France. Similar concerns in other European countries indicate that Apple may need to take similar actions elsewhere.
