Islamabad: in the case of contempt of the Election Commission, the Interior Ministry has collected a report regarding not presenting Imran Khan in the Election Commission.
During the hearing of the contempt of commission case, in which the Chairman of the PTI and Fawad Chaudhry were not presented, the Interior Ministry collected its report on this matter. During the hearing, Commissioner Nisar Durrani said that according to the Interior Ministry, the circumstances were not such that the Chairman of the PTI could be presented, but the trial could be conducted inside the jail.
The 4-member bench headed by ECP Sindh Commissioner Nisar Durrani heard the contempt of election commission case, in which Asad Umar, Shoaib Shah and Faisal Chaudhry appeared. The Chairman of the PTI and Fawad Chaudhry were not presented.
The lawyer of the Chairman of the PTI, Shoaib Shah, requested to provide a copy of the Interior Ministry’s report and said that the case will not be influenced, upon which Commissioner Nisar Durrani ordered to provide a copy of the report and said to leave the emotional talks, we will work according to the law. We want to move the case forward and do not cooperate.
Shoaib Shah deliberately did not present it, and ECP member Shah Mohammad Jatoi said, “You were deliberately not presenting it first, so why take the risk of presenting them here?” Faisal Chaudhry informed about Fawad Chaudhry’s presence in Adiala Jail. Asad Umar said that I have appeared in the Election Commission more than anyone else and now I have also left politics, to which the Commission member said, “No, you continue to do politics.” Asad Umar thanked and said, “I have now left politics.”
Later, the Election Commission adjourned the case until December 6th.
