Ahmed Isleem, a 35-year-old man from Khan Younis, Gaza Strip, wishes he had died alongside his wife and daughter who were killed in an Israeli attack on their home that also claimed the lives of 10 other family members and neighbors. Despite being pulled from the rubble of his home, Isleem lies in the European Gaza Hospital, surrounded by the agonizing sounds of other patients.

Having undergone multiple surgeries for his shrapnel injuries, Isleem expresses his disbelief at still being alive and his wish for martyrdom. He describes his suffering and the chaos within the hospital, highlighting the collapse of the healthcare system in the Gaza Strip due to a lack of fuel and medical supplies, and the targeting of hospitals by the Israeli army.

Khawla Abu Daqqa, also seeking refuge at the hospital with her five children, shares her sentiments of hopelessness and exhaustion amidst the ongoing conflict. The hospital, overwhelmed with injured patients and limited resources, is unable to provide adequate care. Dr. al-Aqqad, a medical professional at the hospital, points to the dire situation, calling for international intervention to stop the war and save the people of Gaza.

The Gaza Strip is experiencing the worst of it all, with hospitals being bombed and forced to discharge patients before they have fully recovered. Dr. al-Aqqad emphasizes the urgent need for specialized medical staff and the relentless effort to save the injured and provide treatment amidst extreme fatigue and challenges.
