Heavy rainfall causes flooding on numerous roads in Karachi, Pakistan

The image shows Major roads in Karachi were flooded on Saturday night due to heavy rain in most parts of the city. The statement from Rescue 1122 urged the public to avoid unnecessary travel due to severe traffic jams. They dispatched teams to help and reported no building collapses but two slight injuries. The Met office reported the highest rainfall at PAF Faisal Base and Mayor Murtaza Wahab urged people to avoid unnecessary movement. The South deputy commissioner’s office also urged the public to avoid unnecessary travel, as teams were stuck in traffic congestion. K-Electric reported that 600 out of 2,100 feeders were shut for safety reasons. Urban flooding was also reported at Tariq Road and Shahrae Faisal.
