The caretaker health minister has directed authorities to launch an inquiry into the appointments of junior doctors at border crossing points, with a report to be submitted promptly. Dr. Nadeem Jan emphasized the importance of the Border and Health Services (BHS) as a national entity responsible for preventing the spread of epidemics from foreign countries to Pakistan. He highlighted that the BHS is responsible for implementing international health regulations.

An investigation will be carried out to identify those responsible for the violation of merit in these appointments, and strict action will be taken against them. It should be noted that the appointments of BHS staff were made by the previous government.
