The arrangements for the upcoming general elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were discussed during a meeting in Peshawar on Saturday. Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, presiding over the meeting, expressed satisfaction with the preparations.
He mentioned that elaborate security measures and CCTV cameras at all polling stations would be in place to ensure smooth and secure elections.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) also provided assurance of smooth operations for the upcoming general elections 2024, stating that their operational and IT systems were functioning satisfactorily.
The ECP further explained the development of an automated Election Management System (EMS) that would be used to compile election results and facilitate the Returning Officers (ROs).
