In the wake of Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s visit, the flood victims in Attari became outraged when the local police and municipal staff reclaimed the tents from the flood relief camp. This incident occurred in the city of Dipalpur in Punjab’s Okara district.

The infuriated victims allegedly tortured the police and municipal staff and forcefully took back the relief tents. Subsequently, the Dipalpur police launched raids to retrieve the relief tents and apprehend the individuals responsible for attacking the officers and local administration officials.

Prior to the attack, numerous women from families affected by the floods surrounded the vehicle of the Dipalpur District Commissioner, who had arrived to conduct an inquiry. Due to security concerns, the District Commissioner summoned additional police personnel.

The flood victims expressed their grievances to the media, stating that they had lost everything in the devastating floods and the government had not provided any assistance. They also mentioned that while the Chief Minister of Punjab visited the relief camp, no relief goods were distributed.

In response, the District Commissioner of Dipalpur assured the flood-affected families of maximum assistance and support.
