Capsicum is priced at Rs 180, green chili at Rs 100, kachalu at Rs 60, cabbage at Rs 80, and okra at Rs 80 per kg.

The price of ginger from Thailand has decreased and is now fixed at Rs 820 per kg, but it is still being sold for Rs 1200 to Rs 1300. Pakistani garlic is fixed at Rs 380 per kg, while Chinese garlic is priced at Rs 530 per kg, but these items are being sold for Rs 450 and Rs 650 respectively.

Guava is priced at Rs 160, grapes at Rs 320, apples at Rs 250, and bananas at Rs 110 per kg. The price of chicken has decreased by Rs 5, with live chicken being fixed at Rs 350 to Rs 355 per kg, but it is still being sold at the old price of Rs 420 per kg. Surprisingly, no one is willing to sell at the rate fixed by the district administration.

“Despite displaying the fixed prices, the vendors are not following them, and the prices of various food items continue to rise,” said Nouman from Khazana Sugar Mills while purchasing various food items in the vegetable market.
