Firing in Lahore claims lives of five, including children

A tragic incident took place in Lahore where three brothers, a cousin, and their house servant were killed in a firing incident. The police officials revealed that the firing was carried out by unknown assailants and it was not a result of personal enmity.

On October 20, a successful joint operation by the Punjab Police and Safe City Authority led to the arrest of a five-member dacoit gang in Lahore. Reports state that the Safe City monitoring team noticed five suspicious individuals roaming in Lahore’s Defense area and alerted the “Defense A police” to investigate. During the investigation, the police officials discovered Rs 8 million in cash and 14 iPhones in the possession of the bandits.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Arsalan Zahid confirmed that all five individuals were immediately taken into custody and interrogation began. The arrested suspects admitted to several incidents of snatching and robberies. A case has been registered against the bandits and further investigation is underway.
