In a heartwarming story of love transcending borders, a Filipino woman and a Pakistani man recently got married via video call. The groom, Oshaq, who resides in Larkana, Sindh, married his Filipino girlfriend, Mikona, through a virtual nikah ceremony.

The nikah ceremony took place at a local hotel and was attended by the couple’s respective families and friends. Due to various complications, Mikona was unable to visit Pakistan, and Oshaq was unable to secure a visa to the Philippines without a marriage certificate.

Oshaq and Mikona initially connected on Facebook a year ago and their friendship blossomed into love. Determined to overcome the distance and obstacles, they decided to proceed with an online nikah ceremony.

This is not the first time such a unique marriage has taken place. Just recently, an Indian man and a Pakistani woman also tied the knot online when the bride encountered issues obtaining an Indian visa in time for their wedding. The online ceremony was conducted in Jodhpur, and both families joined through a video conference to participate in the rituals and celebrate the union.

Love knows no boundaries, and these stories are a testament to the power of technology in bringing people together, even when circumstances make physical presence impossible. Despite the challenges, Oshaq and Mikona were able to exchange their vows and start their journey as a married couple.

We wish them a lifetime of happiness and the strength to overcome any obstacles that come their way. Love truly knows no distance!
