Fatwa Issued Declaring TikTok Dangerous Controversy and Forbidden

Karachi: The famous religious educational institution Jamia Binoria Town has declared the use of TikTok as forbidden and a dangerous temptation of the present time.

Regarding the use of TikTok, the Islamic Sciences at Binoria Town issued Fatwa number 144211200409, stating that TikTok is a growing dangerous temptation of social media in the present era.

The fatwa stated that the use of this app is illegitimate and forbidden from a religious standpoint. Those who use it become involved in sin. Therefore, the use of this application is not permissible.

TikTok involves the creation of images and videos which are considered forbidden. Women create provocative videos, and viewing them is a sin. Mainstream music and dance videos are also created.

The fatwa further stated that TikTok is a means of spreading obscenity and nudity, wasting time, and frivolous behavior. It includes videos that mock and ridicule scholars and religion, as well as everything else.

Jamia Binoria Town stated that not only youth but also the elderly are lured into earning money through TikTok, engaging in activities that are unacceptable to a person of sound character.
