Exploring the US Generational Divide on Israel’s War on Gaza

Recent polls indicate that a growing number of young Americans are taking a critical stance towards Israel and showing support for Palestinians. This shift in public opinion is particularly evident among the younger demographic, with only 41 percent of those aged 18 to 29 having a favourable view of Israel according to a Pew Research study. Many young people are protesting against the ongoing war on Gaza, which has resulted in a high number of Palestinian casualties. This raises questions about a generational divide in US policy towards Israel, as well as the factors driving this change in public perception. Joining us to discuss these issues are Clair Davenport, a student at Columbia Journalism School, Julie Norman from UCL Centre on US Politics, and Keir Milburn, author of Generation Left. Hosted by Nick Clark.
