The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) office in Lahore has summoned Tahir Khurshid, the former principal secretary of ex-Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, along with three other bureaucrats, namely Saleh Saeed, Usman Moazzam, and Ahmed Aziz.

The accused individuals have been asked to provide records of recruitments made between 2018 and 2023. They are also required to submit details of their Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) particulars, properties, and foreign visits.

Moreover, the accused bureaucrats have been directed to disclose any connections they may have with Farah Khan.

In July, a Lahore district court declared Moonis Elahi, son of PTI President Parvez Elahi, as an absconder due to his continuous absence in a money laundering case. Moonis is currently residing in Spain.

The FIA had requested for Elahi to be declared an absconder because he failed to appear before the investigation agency, even after a non-bailable arrest warrant was issued against him.

The court has also initiated the process of freezing Elahi’s assets, computerized national identity card, passport, and bank accounts.
