The island known as Sark is located between France and England. It is home to the world’s smallest prison, which is still in use today. The prison consists of a small house with only two jail cells. There are no cars, roads, or street lights on Sark Island, just a small jail that was established in 1856.

The dimensions of the jail cells are 6 feet by 6 feet and 6 feet by 8 feet, with a narrow corridor separating the two rooms. The cells contain small wooden beds with thin mattresses for the prisoners to sleep on. Surprisingly, prisoners are only kept here for a maximum of two days before being transferred to a larger prison on the neighboring island of Guernsey.

The jail has been recognized by the Guinness World Records as the ‘smallest prison in the world’. As for the island itself, it is only 5 kilometers long and 1.6 kilometers wide, with a population of less than 600.
