Dacoits’ Reign of Terror in Karachi; 6 Civilians Injured in Resistance, 7 Dacoits Captured in Clashes

Karachi: The city of Quaid is witnessing incidents of open robberies by dacoits and firing on citizens. In recent incidents, dacoits shot and wounded 4 citizens for resisting robbery. Additionally, police have arrested 5 dacoits in injured condition during confrontations.

According to police, near Essa Nagri and a water pump, 4 citizens were injured in a dacoit resistance incident. Two armed culprits near Essa Nagri Bridge attempted to loot citizens and shot and wounded them when faced with resistance.

The injured individuals have been identified as Farhan and Shoaib. The armed culprits looted cash and mobile phones from both citizens before fleeing, while both injured individuals are currently in critical condition.

Near a water pump, armed culprits tried to loot young boys and wounded both during resistance. In Azeem Amila, when one individual resisted, the culprits injured both individuals and fled after robbing them.

In Ittehad Town and Orangi Town near Gate No. 5, during a robbery, motorcycle-riding dacoits shot and wounded 35-year-old Rehman. In Saudabad’s Miliir Kala Board Block B, 43-year-old Mohammed Naseer was injured in a firing incident. Rescue officials report that the incident occurred during a robbery.

On the other hand, in various areas of the city, 5 dacoits were injured during confrontations with police and street criminals. In Baghdadi (Lyari), armed culprits were busy looting citizens when police arrived on the scene and attempted to arrest them. The culprits, Shahjahan and Murad, fired at the police, resulting in both being arrested after retaliatory firing. Weapons and a motorcycle were recovered from the culprits.

In New Karachi Industrial Area and Golimar, police have also arrested 3 dacoits in injured condition, from whom weapons, mobile phones, and a motorcycle have been recovered.

In Ittehad, Rangers signaled a suspicious motorcycle rider near Siemens Chorangi to stop during a checking. Instead of stopping, the culprits increased their speed. After a chase, Rangers arrested two culprits, Safdar and Ibrahim, and recovered weapons. According to the Rangers, the culprits are involved in robberies and ransom activities. The Rangers handed over the culprits to the police for further investigation.
