Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, has assured the caretaker government of the army’s full support in reviving the economy and leading the country towards progress and prosperity.

This assurance was given during the fourth meeting of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), which was also the first meeting since the caretaker government came into power. The meeting was chaired by caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar and attended by the army chief, federal cabinet members, chief ministers, provincial ministers, and other high-ranking government officials.

During the meeting, the SIFC presented a comprehensive review of its initiatives, highlighting the progress made and benchmarks achieved within a short period of time. Prime Minister Kakar commended the council’s efficient functioning, which has been based on a collaborative “whole-of-government” approach to achieve synergy on both horizontal and vertical levels.

The participants of the apex committee also praised the SIFC for its successful outreach strategy, which has helped to attract global attention. They mentioned the productive visits of high-level delegations from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) as examples of the council’s ongoing engagements with allied nations.

The members of the apex committee expressed confidence in the SIFC’s initiatives and pledged their support to maintain a positive trajectory in reviving the economy. They also endorsed the projects approved by the previous government, which aim to attract investments in key sectors such as agriculture, livestock, mining, minerals, information technology, and energy.

With the support of the army and the caretaker government’s commitment to economic revival, the country is poised to move forward towards progress and prosperity.
