Authorities have launched a search for a 20-year-old girl who went missing from Ranipur Haveli following a family dispute. The girl’s parents had sent her to the haveli, which is under the care of Pir Sohail Shah, believing she would be safe there. However, the family received a distressing phone call informing them that their daughter was missing.

Upon learning of the incident, Chief Minister Baqar directed Commissioner Sukkur to investigate the matter and submit a report without delay. He also instructed DIG Sukkur to ensure the immediate recovery of the missing girl.

The girl’s family, residing in Mena village, expressed their anguish over the situation. They revealed that they had visited Ranipur Haveli multiple times but were not provided with any information regarding their daughter. The family also filed a complaint at the Ranipur police station, but no action was taken.

It is worth mentioning that Ranipur Haveli gained notoriety after the tragic death of ten-year-old maid Fatima due to apparent violence. Disturbing videos depicting signs of abuse on the girl’s body had circulated on social media. Fatima’s body was buried without a post-mortem examination.

DIG Sukkur Javed Jiskani revealed that two haveli residents had disappeared following the incident.

In a related development, the police recently rescued three women and four minor girls from the residence of suspects in the Fatima murder case. SSP Khairpur Mir Roohal Khoso informed the media that the rescued individuals have been safely returned to their homes. Efforts are ongoing to rescue all women and girls who worked at the suspect’s residence, but this process will take time to overcome deep-rooted traditions.
