China’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Mao Ning, stated that China will continue to work with relevant parties to achieve lasting peace between Palestine and Israel through the “two-state solution.” She condemned actions that harm civilians and opposed any violation of international law, calling for a ceasefire and an end to the war to avoid a humanitarian disaster. China will continue to play a constructive role in promoting de-escalation and peace in the region. Additionally, as the rotating president of the Security Council, China will work to strengthen coordination with relevant parties and promote responsible measures to protect civilians and restore the peace process. The Chinese government’s special envoy for the Middle East issue and the director of the Department of Asia and Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have also visited relevant countries to mediate for peace.
