The US Ambassador, Donald Blome, met with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to discuss current political issues and the importance of free, fair, and inclusive elections, as per a statement issued by Acting US Mission Spokesperson Thomas Montgomery.
They also discussed the US-Pakistan trade and investment relationship and the development of the US-Pakistan ‘Green Alliance’ framework, as mentioned in the statement.
The PPP also stated that the discussion with the US envoy focused on promoting bilateral relations and trade relations between Pakistan and the United States.
The meeting comes as political parties in Pakistan prepare for the general elections set to take place on February 8, with alliances being formed and rallies being held.
