Explosion Inside Mosque in KP’s Hangu Leaves Two Dead, Five Injured: Police

According to the police, at least two people were killed and five others were injured in an explosion that occurred inside a mosque located in the Doaba police station in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Hangu on Friday.

The explosion took place during the Friday sermon, causing the roof of the mosque to cave in. As a result, approximately 30 to 40 individuals were trapped under the rubble. The authorities have called in heavy machinery to assist in rescuing the victims.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has declared a state of emergency in hospitals across Hangu and Kohat, as confirmed by DPO Ahmed. Meanwhile, KP caretaker Chief Minister Azam Khan has summoned a report on the incident from the police and instructed the authorities to expedite the rescue operation. He has also directed the commissioner and deputy commissioner to oversee the rescue efforts and ensure the best possible medical treatment for the injured.
