A citizen of Denmark who passed away 100 years ago is set to auction off a collection of 20,000 rare coins next year in New York, which could fetch up to 60 million pounds.

According to media reports, Lars Emil Brundir, who emigrated a century ago, was in the coin business. Before his death, he stated in his will that the 20,000 coins he had collected throughout his life should be preserved for 100 years before being sold.

Now, after more than a century has passed, a New York auction house, Stick Boers, has announced that it will auction off the collection during the upcoming fall season.

The auction house has stated that this is the most valuable collection of coins to come to market in the world. In the 1800s, Lars Emil Brundir started a successful dairy business, which earned him a significant amount of wealth.

He also had a passion for collecting coins, stamps, and banknotes from Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
